Welcome to #TBT Mixtape, Billboard’s series that showcases artists’ very own throwback-themed playlists exclusive to Billboard’s Spotify account. The curated set features the artists’ favorite tracks from their youth and childhood.
This week’s spin comes from Fuego. The Dominican trap star and top songwriter — who has collaborated with the likes of Dillon Francis, J Balvin, Nicky Jam, Rick Ross & Pitbull — returned last week (Dec. 9) with a new single “Fallin'” alongside producer A.Chal — an ode to the art of stripping.
To fete the release, Fuego put together this week’s #TBT Mixtape, looking back at his own musical origins. “This is a collection of songs I’ve obsessed over at one point,” he says of the set that includes Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Juan Luis Guerra and more. “They’ve all shaped me as a person and influenced my style as an artist!” [“Esta es una colección de canciones que me han encantado a algún punto, me han formado como persona y han influenciado mi estilo como artista!”]
Give the eclectic set a spin and also check out a few throwback snaps of the star below.
