Industry veteran Celia Froehlig has joined Nashville-based Black River Music Group as VP/director of publishing. She replaces Rob Hendon, who exited to pursue other opportunities.
Froehlig previously headed EMI Music Publishing, where she worked with hit songwriters Brad Paisley, Tim Nichols, Stephony Smith and Frank Rogers, among others. With her own Froehlig Palmer Music, Froehlig published hit songs “Where The Green Grass Grows” (Tim McGraw) and “We Were In Love” (Toby Keith), among others.
“There is an atmosphere of creativity at Black River that seems more difficult to find today,” Froehlig said in a prepared statement. “It is about the talent and the music, and their enthusiasm is contagious. I couldn’t be happier to be a part of the team.”
