French Horn Rebellion brought their 2017 dance party to new heights in “Rooftops,” their latest single with Brooklyn-based singer Natalie Duffy.
Robert Perlick-Molinari of FHR told Billboard that the track is all about perspective. “There’s something magical when you get to the top of building,” he explained. “Looking down you see how small everything is. Looking up you feel this cosmic connection. And when you’re with someone you love that feeling becomes euphoric.”
The track becomes the ideal way to send off 2017, feeling properly suited for a rooftop party with friends to dance your cares away. “The troubles below get left behind,” Perlick-Molinari added, “and you float on how your life could be. Meet me on the Rooftop and see for yourself.”
French Horn Rebellion first gave fans a taste of the track back in November, when they performed “Rooftops” alongside Duffy to a raucous crowd at YouTooCanWoo’s “Night Out” at Mercury Lounge. The label, started earlier this year in June, will extend its “Night Out” series further to more cities starting in Feb. 2018. FHR will act as backing band for each of the additional six dates, welcoming members of their vast community for an artist-based, collaborative concert experience.
