Billboard has teamed up with Chevy to kick off Dreamseekers, a concert series showcasing the best and most promising bands in music today. The third event comes to Los Angeles’ Roxy Theatre on Oct. 12, following the debut event at Chicago’s Reggies on Sept. 14 and the Dallas gig at the Granada on Sept. 21.
The L.A. bill includes Brooklyn hip-hop troupe Shinobi Ninja, whose kinetic live set mixes DJ action with R&B crafted by the group’s six members. The band recently stopped by Billboard.com to put their own spin on a cover of Boyz II Men’s “Water Runs Dry” for our Mashup Mondays series.

The exclusive event also features Billboard Music Awards Battle of the Bands winner, Boston’s own Gentlemen Hall, who recently lit up the stage at Billboard.com’s Summer Blowout concert in NYC. Also on the bill at the Roxy Theatre is L.A’s own Hank and Cupcakes.
Hosted by Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, the Dreamseekers show on Oct. 12 is free and open to anyone 18 years and older. Click here to reserve tickets and find more details on the event.
