Brown has yet to comment on the incident. He hasn’t tweeted since Jan. 25. The “Fortune” singer remains under five years’ probation following his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Earlier, sheriff’s deputies described the Sunday evening incident as a fight between six men. According to witness reports, Brown allegedly punched Ocean.
In 2012, Brown and rapper Drake were linked to a nightclub tussle in New York’s W.i.P, though no charges were filed. Ocean had his own run-in with police on New Year’s Eve last year, cited for speeding, a suspended license and marijuana possession after reportedly driving around 90 MPH in Mono County, Calif.
On Sunday night, Ocean added that now he “can’t play [with] two hands at the grammys” after cutting his finger. He’s been nominated in a ceremony-leading six categories at the Feb. 10 awards show, including Album of the Year, Best New Artist and Record of the Year.
