American Idol moved to sunny Hawaii for Sunday night’s pre-recorded episode of Top 40 performances. And it was Francisco Martin who enjoyed one of the brightest moments.
The young hopeful shone with a performance of Harry Styles’ “Falling,” his delivery and the emotion in his voice a big hit with the judges.

Lionel Richie noted how calm the Filipino-American singer was when the young girls in the audience led a round of screams.
This once-nervous performer
is oozing confidence right now. “I was like, ‘is that Bruno Mars up there?’” Katy Perry quipped. “I like it.”
Luke Bryan noted, “You’re figuring out how to be a real artist. Somebody that you naturally root for. You tick every box…you’re just a wonderful talent, man.”
And with that, Martin is through to the round of 20.
