Four Tet (aka Kieran Hebden) was on Twitter yesterday promising the world new music, and today (July 17) he delivered with “Dreamer.”
The track is shimmery, urgent and reminiscent of Hebden’s work on classics LPs like Pink and Rounds. The third new Four Tet track of 2019, “Dreamer” follows April’s “Teenage Birdsong” and March’s more club-oriented “Only Human” — one of Billboard Dance‘s selects for the best songs of the year so far.
The release of “Dreamer” comes in conjunction with the lineup announcemenbt for Hebdens’ Warehouse Project party, which comes amidst a full season of shows by the Manchester promoter. Hebden’s Oct. 26 show features a stacked lineup of performances by Daphni, Jon Hopkins, Peggy Gou, Hessle Audio (Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound) and Four Tet once again going b2b with Skrillex. The rest of the Warehouse Project schedule includes performances by Aphex Twin, Goldie, Underworld, MK and many more.
