Former Skid Row front man Sebastian Bach is the winner of the second season of CMT’s “Gone Country.” He was chosen over competitors Mikalah Gordon, Jermaine Jackson, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lorenzo Lamas and Sean Young by host John Rich.
Bach’s debut country single, “Battle With The Bottle,” an autobiographical tune he co-wrote with Nashville songwriters Jeffrey Steele and Vicky McGehee, has been serviced to country radio. An accompanying video is currently airing on CMT.
Bach performed his song before a live audience at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon in the show’s finale, which aired Sept. 26. “Sebastian put his real life experiences into his song,” said Rich in a prepared statement. “‘Battle with the Bottle’ deals with the challenges he faces in his life on a daily basis, and when your music imitates your life, that’s where great country music happens.”
Bach, who is also known as a Broadway actor and television personality, released a solo album, “Angel Down,” in 2007.
Julio Iglesias Jr. won the first season of “Gone Country.”
