Former president and COO of the BMG Label Group Charles Goldstuck has taken over as CEO of the interactive jukebox firm TouchTunes.
The company operates a network of internet-connected jukeboxes, as well as other games and video entertainment machines, which it has worked to establish as a vehicle for music marketing as well as distribution. It has devices in more than 38,000 locations, to which it delivered more than 700 million songs last year. Former CEO Bill Meder will continue with the company as chairman.
Goldstuck, who was Clive Davis’ No. 2 man at BMG, exited the companyin April of last year when Barry Weiss became chairman and CEO of the BMG Label Group, replacing Davis. Davis was named chief creative officer for Sony BMG Worldwide. Goldstuck joined Davis at Arista in 1998, becoming executive VP/GM before assuming the role of president. Before Arista, he was executive VP of finance at Capitol Records.
