Fontana, the independent distribution arm of Universal Music Group, has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Ipecac Records, the label owned by artist Mike Patton (Faith No More, Bungle, Tomahawk) and his manager, Greg Wreckman.
Under the new agreement Fontana will work to expand Ipecac’s market reach, extend its brand and help the label capitalize on new opportunities across retail and media platforms.
“Mojo,” the single from Patton’s new band Peeping Tom, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. The video for the single has been added to MTV and Music Choice. Peeping Tom is currently on tour with Gnarls Barkley.
Ipecac, originally founded in 1999, features a roster that includes acts such as Peeping Fantomas, Maldoror, Tomahawk and the Melvins.
