Ubiquity can’t hurt a young band: this year, FMLYBND have been giving away a song for free every month, touring in support of Milky Chance, and working on a new EP.
Billboard is exclusively premiering the video for “Where Is My Mind,” FMLYBND’s cover of the Pixies’ classic. The original track, released in 1988, is grounded by pealing guitar, sludgy bass, and Frank Black’s pinched howl. But FMLYBND pushes the song in another direction, with gauzy, high harmonies, and a relentless, modern-sounding beat.
