October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and some of the industry’s biggest names are doing their part to contribute to the cause with a new charity single called “Boob Spelled Backwards Is Boob.”
One Direction Announces New Charity Initiative #Action1D
Featuring Florence + the Machine, Noel Gallagher, Hozier, Michael Franti, Vance Joy, Matt Nathanson, Spandau Ballet, Graham Nash (CSNY), the Grateful Dead, Bleachers, Elle King and more, the #BoobProject, as it has become known, was fostered by Mike “No Name” Nelson, a DJ at San Francisco’s KFOG. Nelson, whose wife is currently battling breast cancer, asked artists visiting the station to contribute to the single. The song’s lyrics were written by Nelson’s eight-year-old son.
