Fleetwood Mac’s tour of Australia and New Zealand is back on.
The veteran British-American band’s On With The Show World Tour will visit Australasia later this year for 10 shows across a mix of arenas, wineries and outdoor venues.
The classic five-band lineup of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie will make the trip, which starts with the first of two nights (Oct. 22) at Sydney’s Allphones Arena.
The group was originally scheduled to play in these parts for a sold-out tour in late 2013, though all dates were called off when John McVie was diagnosed with cancer (he sought treatment and returned to the stage in late December of that year).
Fleetwood Mac was last Down Under for the 2009 Unleashed Tour, and they’ve not toured as a five-piece since 1998. Australia’s Live Nation affiliate will promote the upcoming tour, with the general ticket on-sale starting April 1.
The band’s touring itinerary is solidly booked until late June. The On With the Show world tour will continue its North American schedule of more than 80 concerts through April 19, wrapping at the Verizon Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas. A six-week European trek will follow beginning with a two-night stand at London’s O2 Arena on May 27.
