Veteran Universal Music U.K. executive Clive Fisher has been elevated to executive VP of the company.
Fisher has served as Universal Music U.K. director of legal and business affairs for 19 years. Based in London, he reports to Lucian Grainge, who has risen to the post of Universal Music Group International chairman/CEO.
Fisher retains his existing reports, while he has reallocated some of his core legal and industry duties.
“With his new responsibilities, he will assist me — as well as the entire executive team at Universal Music U.K. — as we continue to drive forward and manage our business commercially,” comments Grainge in a statement.
As previously reported, Universal Music International chairman/CEO Jorgen Larsen on July 1 handed those responsibilities to Grainge, who until recently was Universal Music U.K. and Ireland chairman/CEO. Grainge continues to assume responsibility for the U.K. company.
Following the handover, Grainge has realigned three of his direct reports. As a result, Universal Music Ireland, under managing director Dave Pennefather, now reports to group sales director Brian Rose. Distribution/Milton Keynes, under director Russell Richards, reports to CFO David Bryant and the new media unit, under divisional director Rob Wells, reports to Fisher.
