The first-ever EDC China came to a beautiful close, attracting many thousands of guests April 29-30 at Shanghai International Music Park. Known as the raving paradise, EDC China has received unparalleled massive attention with tickets selling out round after round.
About 60 of the world’s top DJs — including <a href=”/music/Martin-Garrix”>Martin Garrix</a>, <a href=”/music/Marshmello”>Marshmello</a>, <a href=”/music/Deadmau5″>Deadmau5</a>, <a href=”/music/Hardwell”>Hardwell</a> and <a href=”/music/Disclosure”>Disclosure</a> — performed on the three stages and an art car. With an original set of dancers joining the party, EDC China provided the audience with an authentic and magical festival experience. Meanwhile, Billboard Radio China was there as one of EDC China’s official media partners to witness and review the entire two-day festival.
<a href=”/music/Don-Diablo”>Don Diablo</a>, <a href=”/music/Illenium”>Illenium</a>, <a href=”/music/Alison-Wonderland”>Alison Wonderland</a>, <a href=”/music/Tchami”>Tchami</a>, W&W, Malaa and <a href=”/music/Oliver-Heldens”>Oliver Heldens</a> presented their amazing performances with dynamic beats and dazzling lasers from daytime to dawn.
What makes EDC unique from other music festivals is its rich experience. Besides the artists onstage, the original set of dancers from the U.S. also joined the show and interacted closely with the audience. Three authentic stages of the kineticFIELD, circuitGROUNDS and bassPOD, along with the Boombox art car presented by Star Wars, filled every inch of the land with music and joy. The classic EDC ferris wheel lit up the whole venue.
The much-anticipated wedding session was also on display as couples got married at the specially designed chapel, witnessed by their beloved family and friends. Chapel, priest, bouquet and vow: The unique festival wedding gave the newly married a lifelong memory, and also added a sense of sweetness and romance to the party.
With one last song fading out, EDC China finished its debut in cheers and glory. From the New Pulse EDC China Anthem Contest to the perfectly presented show, EDC China has pushed the dance music development in China one more step closer to the international standard, and broadcast to the world the voice of Chinese artists. It is another milestone in Chinese dance music history.
EDC promoted a core spirit of “All Are Welcome Here,” clearing boundaries of race, age, gender and more, allowing everyone onsite to enjoy the music and fun as one community. Music, party, food, love and celebration: This carnival left the audience with a once-in-a-lifetime memory.
