To celebrate the kickoff of Taylor Swift’s Reputation tour, Billboard’s Taylor Ortega hit the streets of New York City to see how well people know the lyrics to some of the singer’s biggest hits, as part of the “Finish the Hit” video series.
Starting with “Shake It Off,” one passerby shows off what she thinks should be the song’s signature dance move, while another participant is asked to complete the lyric: “I stay out too late/got nothin’ in my…” His answer? “Kool-Aid.” Fortunately, one person correctly guesses “brain.”
Moving on to “Bad Blood,” host Ortega asks one guy who he would side with in the (now resolved) longstanding feud between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. She also tries to find someone who knows how to finish the line “Band-aids don’t fix bullet holes / You say…”
The correct answer, “Sorry just for show,” is almost accurately guessed by one person, while another suggests “you need a medic for that.”
Check out the hilarious video above to find out how many New Yorkers can finish Taylor Swift’s hits including the two tracks above, as well as her 2008 ballad “Love Story.”
