Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei has just unveiled her latest solo venture. The singer slows down two of Drake’s most recent hits, “Sneakin’” and “Fake Love,” with her sultry vocals and personalized verses (“Was playing mall shows, but main stagin’ now”) for the mash-up, released Wednesday.
Kordei told MTV News that she believes Drake has been “one of the most influential artists in this generation.” “I respect his artistry so much,” she said. “He always resonates with me in some way so I decided to get creative and put my own spin on this mash-up of his most recent records for my fans to enjoy.”
Kordei teamed up with producers The Invaders, who also produced her cover of Tory Lanez’s “Say It” back in February.
Kordei’s cover follows fellow 5H members Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui’s own recent work outside of the group: Cabello has her “Bad Things” duet with Machine Gun Kelly — which recently hit the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 — while Jauregui released her first project outside the group, a collaboration with electro-pop duo Marian Hill on “Back to Me.”
Fifth Harmony also recently hinted at working on their third album earlier this week.
