The remaining members of Fifth Harmony are “truly hurt” and they’ve laid the blame squarely on Camila Cabello and her team in a dynamite new statement on the singer’s departure.
In the latest message, issued late Monday night through the pop group’s social media accounts, the singers claim they “pleaded” with Cabello to give 5H another chance, and at one stage hooked up a band counseling session, which she reportedly bailed on.

The band mates confirm they were notified in mid-November of Cabello’s plans to walk away after Sunday’s final Jingle Ball performance, a claim the outgoing singer had put forward in her own, earlier message.
The overriding theme of the second group message is this: Harmonizers, we didn’t create this mess.
“Over the past several months we have consistently made every effort to sit down and discuss the future of Fifth Harmony with Camila,” the message reads. “We have spent the past year and a half (since her initial solo endeavor) trying to communicate to her and her team all of the reasons why we felt Fifth Harmony deserved at least one more album of her time, given the success of this past year that we’d all worked so hard for. We called for group meetings which she refused, we asked L.A. Reid and the label to step in and try to set meetings, which again, she refused. We even went as far as group counseling which she did not show up to. So no, after months of rejection from her and her team, these supposed lengthy conversations in fact never happened, although we pleaded. We have tried with exhausted efforts and hearts to keep this group alive as the five of us, and we want it to be very clear that unfortunately those efforts were not mutual.”
The statement, like the one shared 24-hours earlier, is signed by Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui and Dinah Jane and ends on the relatively positive note, “onward and upward.”
Fifth Harmony have been together since 2012, when the five members were placed together in a group by Cowell on the second season of the American X Factor. In addition to two top five albums (Reflection and 7/27) and a top five Billboard Hot 100 hit (“Work From Home”), Cabello has two hits outside the group: the top 20 song “I Know What You Did Last Summer” with Shawn Mendes and her current Machine Gun Kelly duet “Bad Things,” which cracked the Hot 100 top 10 last week.
