The Dutchess will be doubling down to Beverly Hills on Oct. 13.
Fergie — who just released her long anticipated album Double Dutchess on Sept. 22 along with a full music video set — has been announced as the central performer for the eighth annual amfAR Gala Los Angeles. She will take the same stage where Julia Roberts is to be honored with amfAR’s Award of Courage, presented by longtime friend Tom Hanks. James Corden is hosting the black-tie benefit at Ron Burkle’s famed Green Acres Estate.
The invite is already stacked with notable names: amfAR chairman of the board Kenneth Cole, Burkle and Untitled Entertainment partner Jason Weinberg are event chairs, while CAA’s Kevin Huvane, Bryan Lourd and Richard Lovett are honorary chairs along with Ida Ziniti.
Double Dutchess marks the first release for her Dutchess Music, the label she founded in partnership with BMG. The visual experience snagged a No. 1 spot on iTunes in addition to the album becoming the No. 1 pop album in the United States. Up next for Fergie is a planned 2018 world tour.
Presented by AMTD, Harry Winston and MAC Viva Glam, the Los Angeles gala will help support amfAR’s AIDS research programs. Belvedere Vodka, a returning sponsor and longtime supporter of amfAR, is back on board this year alongside signature sponsors Cadillac, Moët Hennessy and PatBO, with Delta Air Lines serving as the official airline partner.
