New Line Records will release the soundtrack to the “Sex and the City” movie on May 27, featuring tracks from Fergie, Jennifer Hudson, India.Arie and Jem.
Music producer Salaam Remi supervised the soundtrack, and he wrote “Labels or Love,” the movie’s opening number, for Fergie to sing. Hudson, who portrays the assistant to Sarah Jessica Parker’s character in the movie, sings “All Dressed in Love,” which will play over the closing credits. “Love” was written by MC Jack Splash and Gnarls Barkley’s Cee-Lo Green.
Ringtones for the soundtrack will be made available on April 25 to users who text “SEXCITY” to 71777.
The film “Sex and the City,” directed and written by Michael Patrick King, will premiere May 30.
