Fawks is having a fall to remember.
The rising Los Angeles resident — born Garrett Lockhart — has found footing in the city’s burgeoning bass house scene, gaining notoriety for his adrenaline-soaked series of “Fawks Flip” rap reworks.

Drawing upon his dubstep past with distorted bass lines in club-ready arrangements, Lockhart’s work has led to releases on labels like Ministry of Sound and Ultra, and signings with Circle Talent Agency and Deckstar Management over the past month.
True to form, the Austin native has reinvented Chicago rapper Brewski‘s “Niykee Heaton” — a “reckless” and raunchy ode to the Instagram celebrity — with shuffling hi-hats and metallic bass notes on Borgore‘s Buygore imprint.

“The combination of Jäger on tap and an acute lack of supervision may have had a hand in my enthusiasm, however I am supremely stoked to be put on an official remix for such a heater of a tune,” he says.
