You don’t need us to tell you what the biggest albums of 2016 were — you know because you spent all year talking about them. From the saga of Kanye West‘s calendar-opening release rollout with The Life of Pablo, to the televised mid-year event of Beyonce’s Lemonade, to the long-awaited reveal of Frank Ocean‘s Blond, blockbuster LPs were on everybody’s minds and Spotify playlists these last 12 months. (Unless they were Apple or TIDAL exclusives, of course.)
Of course, even in a year for the heavy-hitters, with legendary groups like A Tribe Called Quest reuniting and all-time greats like David Bowie fading away, 2016 did make room for some newcomers, with Anderson .Paak graduating to leading man status and Maren Morris becoming the new darling of country music.
Needless to say, choosing between all of these is an unenviable task. While we ultimately opted for Beyonce’s Lemonade, it’s time for you to do your pop duty and let us know what album reigned supreme for you — whether it be one of our top ten, or a choice entirely of your own.
