The dance music veteran — real name Norman Cook — revealed that he completed a song with Elba earlier this month at the Snowbombing festival in Austria, where they both appeared.
The mysterious track is officially out, and “The Road Less Traveled” takes on jazzy rhythms and instrumental bass beats, complemented by Elba’s deep vocals. The eerie organ intro sets a dangerous tone that kicks into old-school big brass sounds and then one cinematic explosion.
Elba and Fatboy Slim became friends after running into each other at gigs, and they worked together previously on a remix of Mark Ronson‘s “Uptown Funk.”
