Adele’s Daydreamers may have wiped out every fanbase in their way leading up to Billboard’s Fan Army Face-Off semifinals, but the U.K. singer’s fans now face the ultimate battle of beating out last year’s champs — T-ara’s Queens — to reach the championship round.
Leading up to round 5, Adele’s Daydreamers have been anything but asleep. In round 1, the Daydreamers took on Drake’s OVO supporters — the ones who kept Drizzy on top of the Billboard 200 for 12 weeks — winning by more than 121,000 votes. The fanbase then “Set Fire to the Rain” in round 2, facing Zayn Malik’s Zquad. Although the Zquad is comprised of Zayn fans and Directioners alike, the Daydreamers took the army out with 170,067 votes.
The closest match yet for the Daydreamers was in round 3 vs. Justin Bieber’s Beliebers. Adele’s fanbase carried on through the competition thanks to more than 4,000 music lovers choosing to daydream rather than “Believe.” In round 4, while Rihanna’s Navy completely lost momentum, Adele’s Daydreamers were rolling in the votes: More than 66,000 Daydreamers stood between the Navy and the semifinals.
“Rumour Has It,” the Daydreamers current competition — T-ara’s Queens — won Billbaord’s Fan Army Face-Off last year. Will the Daydreamers be able to turn the tables this year and “stand tall/ face it all together” to get to the championships, or are they just “Chasing Pavements”?
There are six days left in the current round of Billbaord’s Fan Army Face-Off — vote for your fave now!
