We’ve got another new Fall Out Boy song on our hands.
Following up September’s “Centuries,” the quartet has released another new single with an epic title, this one for Disney’s forthcoming animated robot film, Big Hero 6 (due Nov. 7). “Immortals” comes via a new video, which you can watch below:
It’s not much of a music video, as it just shows the band playing the new single on some sort of futuristic record player (that somehow looks more complicated than a current one) and basking in its arena-baiting glory. We do get to see Pete Wentz in blonde hair, though.
Coming Soon: New Fall Out Boy Song & Patrick Stump’s First Child
“Remember me for centuries,” frontman Patrick Stump howled in last month’s new song; Now “We can be immortals” is Stump’s similar battle cry, as Fall Out Boy continues to mine the bombastic, pyrotechnic-friendly territory of 2013’s Save Rock and Roll.
Fall Out Boy has clearly been writing lately, but is a new album cycle in the cards? Maybe, maybe not. Back on June 2, Wentz told Billboard, “I feel like you can just put out whatever and as long as it’s authentic to who you are. It can be singles or an EP, it’s just whatever you want.”
