Well here’s one we didn’t see coming — Fall Out Boy has re-recorded its American Beauty/American Psycho song “Irresistible” with Demi Lovato, and will release it is a single this Friday (Oct. 16).
The track first appeared in Jan. 2015, leading off the band’s sixth studio album with Patrick Stump manning vocal duty. Now with Lovato in tow, the album’s latest single will look to follow on the chart success of “Centuries” and “Uma Thurman.”
“I think Demi Lovato has one of the most powerful voices today,” bassist Pete Wentz wrote on his blog. “So we worked through an afternoon and she just got it. Excited for you guys to hear this new version of the song on Friday.”

But that’s not all the Fall Out Boy news we have. As the quartet continues to promote its 2015 album American Beauty/American Psycho, they’ll sail out on tour with Awolnation (get it?) and Pvris on Feb. 25. The 20-date North American tour — titled Wintour Is Coming — kicks off in San Juan, Puerto Rico and wraps March 26 in Irvine, Cal.

Previously, Fall Out Boy toured North America with Wiz Khalifa behind the album.
In the same blog post, Wentz hinted this could be the end of the American Beauty/American Psycho album cycle:
“Wintour is coming. This will end the story.”
