Fall Out Boy are the sort of band that clearly loves dressing up like gladiators, and their new hit “Centuries” gave them the perfect opportunity to do that. With Patrick Stump belting the battle cry “remember me for centuries!” and the band pummeling away as if it were trying to do something like, you know, save rock and roll, “Centuries” is nothing if not epic. And epic lends itself to gladiators quite well.
Check out the new Syndrome-produced video below and find out if Pete Wentz is any good with a slingshot. Be sure to pay attention to the very end to catch a very special cameo from one Rick Ross.
“Centuries” currently sits at No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100, in its fifth week on the tally. It so far peaked at 22.
But it isn’t the only new Fall Out Boy jam making its rounds these days. On Oct. 14, the band premiered a similarly raucous track called “Immortals” that will be featured in Disney’s forthcoming film Big Hero 6.
