Chanyeol and Sehun of K-pop group EXO are celebrating their life in their first collaborative album as EXO-SC, What A Life. Released today (July 22), the EP is fronted by the cool, summery hip-hop vibes of the titular “What A Life.”
The song’s release preceded the album, and was shared through a music video put out on Sunday (July 21). Throughout it, Chanyeol and Sehun are seen living up the high life as they express how they work so that they can play and enjoy their life, while simultaneously expressing how they approach work as if they’re playing.
Along with “What A Life,” EXO-SC’s debut album features five other tracks, including the laidback groove of “Just us 2” featuring rapper Gaeko, who spearheaded the album with Devine Channel, while a variety of other collaborators worked on the album. Chanyeol and Sehun are each credited throughout the album as songwriters and lyricists. According to the pair’s label SM Entertainment, the sweet “Closer to You” and “Just us 2” are also singles from the album.
The pair performed their new music during EXO’s EXplOration concerts in Seoul this weekend.
EXO-SC is the second unit group to form within EXO and release an album, along with EXO-CBX, which features members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin. Chanyeol and Sehun first teamed up together to release new music last year, when they released “We Young” through SM Entertainment’s digital singles project, SM Station.
