Square, Adams Fox Promoted at ADA
Brandon Square has been promoted to senior vice president of digital strategy and revenue at ADA Worldwide, while Tatia Adams Fox has been named senior vice president of marketing for ADA. Based in New York, both will report to ADA president David Orleans. With these appointments, Warner Music Group’s independent distribution and services arm continues to invest in artist and label services.
Square claims 17 years of music business experience in various roles at UMG, Island Def Jam, and Live Nation; Adams Fox previously served as vice president of marketing at Universal Motown Records.
Steve Richardson Named CEO/President of Streamsound Music Group
Streamsound Music Group, a newly-formed Nashville-based entertainment group affiliated with Streamsound Records and Red Vinyl Music, has appointed Steve Richardson as CEO and president.
The company, which formed in 2012, claims Tim McGraw and Faith Hill producer Byron Gallimore as producer for Streamsound artists including Dakota Bradley and Jaida Dreyer, who have opened for McGraw and placed songs on “Nashville,” respectively.
Eleven Seven Music Group Appoints Rose Slanic as GM, North America
Rose Slanic, former VP of Eleven Seven Music Group’s label operations in Canada, has been promoted to general manager, North America, moving from Toronto to New York City.
“Having managed a major territory like Canada, with responsibilities for radio, publicity, new media, marketing and digital at Roadrunner, Rose brings to Eleven Seven credibility with most of the world’s managers, agents, publishers, and executives in the rock music industry,” says company CEO Kovac.
Prior to coming to Eleven Seven in 2011, Slanic was GM of Roadrunner Records Canada.
David Boyne Promoted to Head of European Sales for Bravado
Bravado, Universal Music Group’s global music merchandising division, announced that David Boyne will be appointed head of European sales. Boyne continues to lead Bravado UK, which he has run since joining the company in 2010.
Boyne claims over 20 years of experience in the fashion business, including stints with premier clothing brands like Ben Sherman, Timberland, and French Connection.
Peter Thea Named EVP of Creative Operations for WBR
Peter Thea, former EVP of Universal Republic and Island Def Jam, will join Warner Bros. Records as executive vice president of creative operations. He will work closely with newly appointed president Dan McCarroll on A&R strategy and creative initiative development.
Prior to his new appointment at WBR, Thea held many varied positions in the music industry. His career began as a recording engineer with artists like Aerosmith, Billy Idol, and the Grateful Dead, after which he co-founded the entertainment law firm Tavel, Thea & Baker, where he represented Cash Money Records and Godsmack, among others. He then joined Jive, where he worked with Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, R. Kelly, and many more.
Slate Creek Records Appoints Garth Fundis as President/Creative Director
Garth Fundis, one of the most respected producers in Nashville (his credits include Trisha Yearwood, Alabama, and Sugarland, among others), has been appointed to president and creative director. Fundis will work closely with CEO Jim Burnett to build the label’s brand and roster, which includes Brandy Clark; he will continue to be available for projects apart from the label.
Downtown Music Publishing Appoints Steve Markland as VP of A&R
Downtown Music Publishing has appointed Steven Markland vice president of A&R. He will also establish Downtown’s first office in Nashville.

Markland, who began his career as a RCA intern while attending famed Nashville music institution Belmont University, has held positions at companies such as Warner/Chappell and nurtured local songwriters such as Kacey Musgraves.
Richard Nash Named SVP of Urban Promotion, RED Distribution and RED Associated Labels
RED Distribution and the newly-formed RED Associated Labels (RAL), which provides label services to some Sony Music venture partners, have announced that Richard Nash will assume the position of senior vice president of urban promotion, in which he will direct urban promotion in North America.
Prior to joining RED, Nash was SVP at EMI Music from 2011-2013, where he worked with artists including Snoop Dogg, Katy Perry, and Emeli Sande.
Universal Music Group Promotes Saheli Datta to Head of Global Compliance
Saheli Datta, senior vice president and employment counsel for Universal Music Group North America, will add head of global compliance to her C.V. Datta has overseen all UMG legal matters relating to company employees since 2006.
“Today’s announcement reflects both the high priority that UMG places on its compliance obligations and the high regard we have for Saheli and her work,” says executive vice president and CFO Boyd Muir. “We see a strong compliance program as a critical element to helping UMG continue its success. Saheli is an excellent lawyer who has deep experience working on compliance matters for UMG, and we’re pleased that she will be leading our compliance initiatives on a global basis.”
Clark Miller Named EVP, North America, Operations for Warner/Chappell Music
Warner/Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has appointed Clark Miller as EVP, North America, Operations.
“Clark and I spent nearly two decades working together,” says John Platt, WCM president, North America. “I am very happy to be reunited with my great colleague and friend. Since I joined Warner/Chappell just over a year ago, I have been deeply impressed by the creativity and inspiration that drives our entire team, and I know Clark will make a huge contribution to our mission to serve songwriters in realizing their artistic visions.”
Most recently, Miller served as EVP of international business affairs and global opportunities for Sony/ATV music publishing, which he held since Sony/ATV acquired EMI music publishing in 2012. Before that, he was an entertainment and communications law specialist.
Dominic Louth Appointed Head of Digital Marketing for Caroline International
Dominic Louth, former digital media manager for Parlophone Records, has joined Caroline International as their head of digital marketing. There, he will take charge of Caroline International’s digital campaigns for artist releases.
At Parlophone, Louth worked with a wide range of artists, including Lily Allen, Damon Albarn, and the Chemical Brothers. Before his position there, he worked at Lizard King Records on campaigns for artists such as the Killers and Santigold.
