Nir Seroussi, who was featured on Bill-board’s 40 Under 40 list in 2013, becomes president at Sony Music U.S. Latin. For the past three years, he has served as the label’s managing director. He will continue to be based in Miami, reporting to Afo Verde, chairman-CEO for the Latin-Iberia region of Sony Music Entertainment. “Afo is writing a new chapter in music business history,” Seroussi says. “He’s built the best home an artist can wish for.” A Berklee College of Music grad and a songwriter, Seroussi initially joined Sony’s Latin operation in Los Angeles in 2004 as vp marketing and A&R for Sony BMG U.S. Latin’s West Coast operations. Since his promotion to managing director, he has taken a more direct role in signing and developing acts.
