When he’s not working digital campaigns for Daft Punk, Krewella, DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What,” or DJ Cassidy’s upcoming album “Paradise Royale,” Columbia Records’ digital marketing manager J.D Tuminski crafts the perfect playlist to get through his morning and evening commute, running the gamut from Jay Electronica to HAIM to Disclosure.
Previously, Tuminski worked digital in TV at HBO on shows like Entourage, HBO Boxing, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, True Blood, and more for four years before transitioning into music at Columbia. In his spare time, he also enjoys photography and writing.
Of his song selection, Tuminski says, “My latest playlist contains an expansive variety of artists to get me through my morning & evening subway commutes and also serves as a soundtrack if I catch a few hours to walk around the city with my camera. You’ll notice waves of genres flowing throughout the nearly four hours, which directly correlates with my fluid and ever-evolving taste in music. You can never go wrong with artists like The Roots or Outkast, but make sure to pay attention to up and comers like Ásgeir, FKA Twigs and Raury.”
