This edition of Executive Playlist brings you the pleasing taste of Michael Pukownik, a product manager at Capitol Records who has put in time at EMI and the now-infamous Booz Allen & Hamilton (no, he didn’t leak any, or millions, of documents). Pukownik explains his atmospheric collection:
I don’t know many people who enjoy sitting on airplanes (unless they are in the pilot’s seat), especially during those special instances when your flight is sitting on the tarmac for two hours, while a four-year-old future placekicker for the Giants is wailing away on the back of your seat with his surprisingly powerful right foot. One thing that consistently helps me relax during those moments is atmospheric music, full of melody and deep tones. Surprisingly, that type of music always does an equally good job at either putting me to sleep, or helping me focus on work during the flight, but never distracts me from either one. With that in mind, I’ve spent the past several years curating my “Airplane Session” playlist. I hope you enjoy it.
