EMI Music and EMI Music Publishing have announced personnel changes at a senior level.
Charles Allen CBE has been appointed non-executive chairman of EMI Music, bringing with him experience from a prior post as chief executive for television broadcaster ITV.
Stephen Alexander will take on the role of senior non-executive director at EMI Music Publishing as well as deputy chairman of EMI’s holding company, Maltby Capital.
Formerly operational managing director for parent company Terra Firma and chief executive of Hillsdown Holdings, Allied Domecq Retailing and Lyons, Alexander was most recently president of EMI’s catalogue. He will work with Roger Faxon’s publishing team in a similar role to Allen’s at EMI Music.
Pat O’Driscoll, chief restructuring officer at EMI Music for the past year and former chief executive of Northern Foods, joins Terra Firma as operational managing director. In this role, she will be responsible for overseeing investments for EMI Music and EMI Music Publishing.
Terra Firma CEO, Guy Hands said in a statement: “These Non-Executive appointments are the final part of the process of putting in place a new management team at EMI Music under Elio Leoni-Sceti and at EMI Music Publishing under Roger Faxon.”
