MTV2 is tonight (Sept. 14) launching “Sucker Free Road to Release,” a new franchise chronicling the process behind hip-hop artists’ album releases. The first installment will feature J. Cole and the worldwide video premiere of his track “Can’t Get Enough” featuring Trey Songz on MTV2 at 10 p.m. (ET).
The program will continue with exclusive segments and content following Cole from Miami to New York as he promotes and preps for his album debut, “Cole World: The Sideline Story,” on September 27. Cole is signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label.
“J. Cole is the perfect first artist to kick off ‘Sucker Free Road to Release.’ His album is one of the most anticipated releases of the year and fans are hungry for more access to him,” Amy Doyle, EVP, Music and Talent, MTV & MTV2, said in a statement.
MTV2’s “Sucker Free Road to Release” will continue feature hip-hop artists examining the creative and business aspects of an artist’s album release, from the writing and recording process in the studio to selecting album art and song/album titles as well as doing press, promotion and hitting the road on tour.
