Brooklyn-based producer Dawin took an original song (set to about five seconds of Alfonso Ribeiro doing the Fresh Prince Carlton dance on Vine) and eventually turned it into a contract with Casablanca/Republic in early 2014. Now he’s back with a full-length music video for his first hit, the motivation anthem-turned EDM powerhouse “Just Girly Things,” which features a host of fellow Vine stars.
Check out the video below, and see if you can spot Brandon Calvillo, Ry Doon, Klarity, Amanda Cerny, Sunny Mabrey, David Dobrik, Olivia Sui, Steph Barkley, Brendon McNerney, and Eric Artell wreaking havoc throughout Los Angeles. But don’t worry — they’re all spotlighted in the end.
After introducing “Just Girly Things,” the track became a viral hit, as Twitter reports it has been re-Vined over 500,000 times. So it comes as no surprise that the bona fide music video delivers plenty more than six seconds of entertainment — and also shows off a hook-filled, genre-hopping song that has something for pretty much everyone.
