A former tour manager for artists such as Billy Joel and Paul Simon was fatally stabbed during an argument with his girlfriend in his Manhattan apartment, police said. Daniel L. Harrison was pronounced dead at New York University Medical Center yesterday afternoon (Nov. 20) from numerous stab wounds to his torso, according to a police spokesperson.
His girlfriend, Kathleen Connors, was arrested on charges of second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree assault. It was not immediately known if she had obtained a lawyer.
Neighbors said Connors, 37, moved in with Harrison, 57, about a month ago at his Upper East Side apartment.
Harrison managed Simon’s Graceland and Rhythm of the Saints tours and had been in charge of Joel’s Glass Houses tour, Harrison’s former wife, Eileen Cavallaro, told the New York Times.Copyright 2005 Associated Press.
