Eric Prydz‘s “Epic 4.0” tour touched down in the U.S. earlier this year. It’s a stunning, overwhelming experience — music from new album Opus combined with an impressively choreographed light show, three dimensional graphics, and an endlessly entertaining light-up cube. Mashable unveils some of the secrets behind Prydz’s onstage spectacle in a new clip that arrived this week.
The seven minute video includes interviews with Prydz and music luminaries like Zane Lowe. “I think he’s one of the greatest producers in the genre,” Lowe says of Prydz. “But also one of the biggest and most ambitious sounding producers in the genre. I’m referring to the Chemical Brothers, and I’m referring to the Daft Punks, and I’m referring to the Prodigys and the Underworlds. He is one of the most consistent electronic music producers and artists of all time.”
Prydz describes his live setup in simple terms: “I could go out on a limb and say it’s the best looking, by far, dance music live show ever. Ever, ever, ever.” Learn more below.
