Now that Michael Phelps has completed another mind-bogglingly successful Olympics campaign, he can look forward to some downtime with one of his sources of inspiration, Eric Church.
Phelps, who swam away with five more golds and a silver in Rio, recently revealed that his pre-swim playlist includes “a mix of songs from Eminem, Young Jeezy and a more recent addition, Eric Church.”

That’s as good a shout-out as it gets, and Church’s camp is keen to thank the sporting superstar.
“When you coming to az? It was record year…. I wanted to have the best year that I could…,” wrote Phelps.
The response: Church is playing March 28 in Phoenix. “DM us your info and you’ll be our guest. We would be honored. Congrats on your Record Year.” No doubt the date is in Phelps’ calendar.
