Epiphone has revived the flat-top guitar design of the 1930s with its new Masterbilt Acoustic Series. The guitars of the Masterbilt Series feature solid-wood construction and the distinctive 1930s-style “offset notch” peg head shape with historic Epiphone script logo and mother-of-pearl stickpin inlay.
The Masterbilt Acoustic Series encompasses steel-string fingerstyle models, round- and square-shouldered dreadnoughts and a nylon-string series, all made with woods including Sitka spruce, rosewood, maple and mahogany. The grain of Masterbilt woods is enhanced with natural satin or vintage-style shaded finish. Dreadnought and fingerstyle models have full-body abalone binding, tapered dovetail neck joints, and are available with an L.R. Baggs pickup.
Suggested retail prices range from $831 to $1,498.
