Epic has revised the track lists and release dates for the upcoming Rage Against The Machine CD and DVD “Live at the Grand Olympic Auditorium.” Both items were originally pegged for a Nov. 18 release, but the CD will now arrive Nov. 25, with the DVD to follow Dec. 9.
The CD’s track list has been tweaked from its original order, with “People of the Sun,” “Guerilla Radio” and “Testify” replacing covers of Devo’s “Beautiful World,” Cypress Hill’s “How Could I Just Kill a Man” and Eric B & Rakim’s “Microphone Fiend.” The disc now opens with Rage’s own “Bulls on Parade” as opposed to a cover of the MC5’s “Kick out the Jams.”
The “Grand Olympic” DVD sports 17 tracks in a different order than the CD, and is augmented with a six-song set performed outside the 2000 Democratic National Convention at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
“This CD and DVD are dedicated to all of our fans whose belief and support inspired our music and message throughout our career,” says Rage guitarist Tom Morello in a statement.
