Enrique Iglesias extends his record for the most No. 1s in the 18-year history of Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, as “Finally Found You,” featuring Sammy Adams, blasts 11-1 to become his 23rd topper on the tally. The song makes a 59% gain to 11 million audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS.
(All charts will be refreshed on Thursday (Nov. 22) on Billboard.com.)
Iglesias widens his lead over Gloria Estefan and Ricky Martin, each of whom has banked 11 Latin Airplay No. 1s. Wisin & Yandel (10) is the only other act with a double-digit No. 1 sum.
With no Spanish edit of the song available, “Finally” marks just Iglesias’ second Latin Airplay No. 1 offered only in an English version, following 1999’s “Bailamos” (see below).
In addition to his historic mark on Latin Songs, Iglesias also holds the records for most No. 1s in the history of the Latin Pop Songs chart (17) and most leaders among male artists on Dance/Club Play Songs (10).
