
After a devastating 2-1 loss to Croatia on Wednesday (July 11), England is hardly wallowing in self-pity.
When the match came to a close, fans throughout Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium roared with Oasis’ “Don’t Look Back in Anger” as it played over the PA. The song is an unofficial symbolism of strength in England, as it quickly became an anthem following the tragic Manchester attack outside Ariana Grande’s concert that killed 22 people and left hundreds of others injured.
