It’s been 10 years since Empire of the Sun opened the doors of imagination and led us to a world of luxurious fantasy, and this year, they’ll be embarking on a tour to commemorate the anniversary.
The Australian synth pop duo will play intimate venues across Chicago, New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles and more, sometimes for two dates in a row. The tour will also take them to Britxton, UK, and Paris.
The duo’s landmark debut album Walking on a Dream helped define a generation. The album’s shimmering euphoria danced over driving rhythms on the album’s wildly-popular title track and weaved through a kalaidoscope of colors and moods throughout its 10 beautiful tunes. The special 10-year anniversary rerelease is set to transparent blood orange vinyl and comes with a code to download the duo’s latest unreleased track, “Chrysalis.” It’s out now on Astralwerks.
Tickets for the Walking on a Dream anniverary tour go on sale Friday, Feb. 22, at 10:00 am local time.
