Emi/Televisa is in the process of reshuffling its U.S. operation, Billboard.biz has learned. Several key changes are expected to be announced within the company this coming week, all designed to sustain EMI/Televisa’s unique status as a media and music company.
Gregg Vickers, formerly VP of sales, will be upped to the newly created post of senior VP commercial operations. Vickers will continue to oversee sales. Reporting to him will be a VP of catalog marketing who’s yet to be named. The creation of that position underscores the importance what EMI/Televisa is placing on catalog releases, which will be treated with the same weight as frontline releases.
In other changes, Richard Bull, formerly VP of marketing based out of Miami, will be promoted to the position of VP marketing and business development, based out of Los Angeles. Bull will work hand in hand with EMM’s Los Angeles office both in traditional and new media projects as well as placement in film and television.
Here in Miami, promotion VP Pietro Carlos will add marketing to his duties in the role of VP marketing and promotion.
All report to EMI/Televisa president Rodolfo López Negrete.
