EMI Music Continental Europe chairman/CEO Jean-François Cecillon has unveiled an executive reshuffle at the French company, which he says heralds a “new generation of managers.”
Nathalie Collin, who was CFO since 2002, adds to her stipes the position of COO. She is also taking under her helm the classical division EMI Classics France. Collin will also head up the special marketing, business development and human resources departments.
Former director of legal department Valérie Queinnec has been elevated to general counsel. Meanwhile, director of sales and distribution Michel de Souza has been promoted to senior VP commercial and distribution.
“These promotions are the result of a year-and-a-half of team work with significant results,” commented Cecillon, to whom they report.
The changes do not affect the two heads of EMI France’s creative divisions. Benjamin Chulvanij and Laurent Chapeau remain managing directors of, respectively, the Capitol/Delabel/Hostile/Blue Note and Virgin/Source/Labels units. Both executives continue to report directly to Cecillon.
In addition, Marco Caputo has been appointed sales director. He joins from Unilever.
Cecillon has overseen EMI Music France since its president Eric Tong Cuong exited in July 2004.
The French company has enjoyed breakout success of late with such domestic artists as Camille, Raphaël, Diam’s and M.
