EMI Music Canada has just issued five albums by veteran folk singer Stompin’ Tom Connors in digital format for the first time.
The albums issued include “Bud The Spud” (1970), “Live At The Horseshoe” (1971), “My Stompin’ Grounds” (1972), “Fiddle & Song” (1994) and “An Ode For The Road” (2002). All are initially available exclusively on iTunes during the month of July.
EMI says the remainder of the Connors catalog will become available digitally over the next few months. Connors, who has a new album scheduled for release on EMI later this year, will be honoured with his own Canada Post stamp in June 2009.
