EMI Continental Europe has made two senior appointments.
EMI Music Switzerland managing director Bart Cools is appointed MD, EMI Music Netherlands, effective Jan. 1, 2005. He will report to Jean-Francois Cecillon, chairman/CEO of EMI Music Continental Europe.
Cools takes the reigns from Niel van Hoff, who has additionally overseen the Hilversum-based company on a temporary basis since being appointed MD of EMI Music Germany in October 2003.
Cools’ appointment allows van Hoff to focus his attention solely on the German affiliate, says an EMI spokesperson. Van Hoff will remain non-executive director of EMI Music Netherlands and will offer support during the transition period.
Albert Manzinger will simultaneously take duties as EMI Music Switzerland MD, which he will combine with his current role as EMI Music Austria MD. Manzinger will split his time between Vienna and Zurich.
In his new, combined post, Manzinger will continue to report to EMI Music Continental Europe COO Thomas Hedstrom.
