Merengue star Elvis Crespo has signed with OLE Music. Crespo, who was formerly on Sony Discos, will announce his move in a press conference tomorrow (Feb. 18). He plans to release a new album in May.
OLE Music was founded last year by former Sony Discos chairman Oscar Llord, in partnership with Lideres Entertainment Group. The label is a division of Miami-based OLE, which stands for Oscar Llord Entertainment. Aside from OLE Music, the OLE umbrella encompasses an artist-management company (the Network), music and video facilities (EQ’s), a concert-promotion arm (Encore Events), a publishing company (Ventura Music) and a production operation (Musica Futura International).
OLE Music is distributed by Universal Music & Video Distribution. Other artists on the roster include Tommy Torres, K-1, MDO and Angel Lopez.
