Sheryl Crow ran into a bit of car trouble on Wednesday morning (April 5), when her Tesla’s screen went black and she couldn’t reset it. Fret not, Elon Musk came quickly to the rescue.
The songstress took to Twitter to seek some advice from any of her followers who might also own a Tesla. “Help! Who knows what to do when your @Tesla screen goes black and the reset doesn’t work?,” she wrote. “Return it and get your money back?? #Tesla #stuckinaparkinglot”
The tech wizard and Tesla co-founder promptly responded by suggesting she switch her “screen preference from night mode to auto,” followed by an explanation: “Night mode with 0% brightness is actually too dark during the day. This is ultimately our fault. We will update our software so that 0% brightness is always usable relative to ambient conditions.”
The switch seemed to do the trick, and let all the Tesla-haters know that she absolutely loves her car, to which Musk also replied, apologizing for the small hiccup she experienced. See the full transaction unfold below.
