Ellen DeGeneres is bored. Like, really, really bored. But luckily she has a full contact list of famous (and also bored) friends that she can call to pass the time while social distancing.
In a video uploaded to Instagram, the comedian called up Adam Levine to wish him a happy birthday (he turned 41 on March 18). The conversation wasn’t as compelling as DeGeneres might have hoped, as when she asked what the Maroon 5 frontman was up to, he replied, “I’m just sitting here enjoying my wonderful family, and not much other than that.”
“So you’re also doing nothing?” he asks Ellen. “Yeah nothing,” she responds before hanging up.

In an attempt to find a conversation more interesting, she called up John Legend, who was sitting with Chrissy Teigen and their son Miles. “So you have kids. I wish I had kids right now, I’m so bored,” DeGeneres vented, and the couple agreed before they also ended the call.
In one last attempt, the comedian called up her friend Justin Timberlake. “Whatcha doin’?” she asked him, to which he simply replied, “Nothin’.”
“What’s Jess doin’?” DeGeneres followed up, and Jessica Biel hopped on the line to also reply, “Nothin’.”
